Bunker, M. N.
Grapho-Analysis Dictionary
Kansas City, Missouri, American Institute of Grapho Analysis, Inc. 1938. First edition. Hardcover. pp. 57. Small 8vo. Pebbled maroon cloth boards with black lettering to front board. Head of spine frayed, contents bright, clean and unmarked with tight, sound binding; very good+. Provides many pages of samples alongside proposed character traits including, "deceit-deception", "lecherous", "egotism", "caustic", "clannish", "depressed", "frankness", "homosexuality", "generous", "investigative", "inventive" amongst many others. On homosexuality it claims: "Homosexualiy may be determined by too much color, utter absence of color or other combinations that do not show balance. Usually accompanied by extreme clannishness, but this trait must be considered more as a contributing element rather than final evidence. This trait cannot be definitely illustrated because homosexuality presents an endless variety of elements." An interesting handbook published by the American Institute of Grapho Analysis with the stated intention of assisting handwriting analysts determine the character traits of an individual merely from the manner of their writing. At time of cataloguing this title in this edition and publication date does not appear on WorldCat or amongst any institutions. Rare. .
